Karawatake and Maitake Extracts to Boost Immune Surveillance
Increases numbers of B- and T-lymphocytes due to kureha (polysaccharide K – PSK).
Increases activity of T-helper cells, macrophage, memory cells and NK lymphocytes (Maitake polysaccharides).
Easy to take liquid for patient compliance and Practitioner dosing discretion.
The major active ingredient of Coriolus is kureha, a type of peptidomannan (amino acid-bound polysaccharide) also known as polysaccharide K or PSK. Polysaccharides are also the active ingredients in Maitake, notably maitake-D-fraction and grifolan. These mushroom polysaccharides exert remarkable actions on various elements of the immune system.
Kureha enhances the proliferation of B-lymphocytes and T-lymphocytes and activates macrophages and NK lymphocytes. Maitake polysaccharides (primarily the maitake-D-fraction) increase T-cells, memory T-cells, and NK lymphoctyes. Another application for this combination could be in assisting after surgery.
